Sharps Collection Service 💉 One Off Service
One off service of small sealed sharps containers. We service 4 sizes, 1.4 litre, 1.8 litre, 3 litre and 5 litres. Please contact us for larger sharps unit sizes.
This service is for one off i.e. a one time collection of sharps containers from businesses. Note – pricing below does not include the provision of sharps containers.
Pricing as quoted is exclusive of GST. Please select number of sharps containers you wish to have selected below. Price shown is per single sharps container i.e. per unit. We charge the same fee per unit for the following container sizes – i.e. 1.4 litre, 1.8 litre, 3 litre and 5 litres.
Pricing includes all mandatory EPA waste tracking fees (i.e. no additional fee). Note – this is a prepaid service.
An additional service fee per visit of $115.50+GST per site visit is added in cart – i.e. in addition to the per unit cost.
Under environment protection legislation, sharps waste is defined as any waste collected from designated sharps waste containers used in the course of business, commercial or community service activities. This includes any waste resulting from the use of sharps for any of the following purposes
- human health care by health professionals or health care providers (either at health facilities or at home)
- medical research or work on cadavers
- veterinary care or veterinary research
- skin penetration or the injection of drugs or other substances for medical or non-medical reasons
‘Sharps’ means items that
- have sharp points or edges capable of cutting, piercing, or penetrating the skin (such as needles, syringes with needles or surgical instruments)
- are designed for the purpose of cutting, piercing or penetrating the skin
- have the potential to cause injury or infection
Price for drop off of new sharps containers:
We can collect your containers whether purhased from Waster or purchased from other retailers. Our technician can also drop off new containers when visiting – please contact us for pricing on delivery of new units.
