Scheduled collection service for small sealed sharps containers. We service 4 sizes, 1.4 litre, 1.8 litre, 3 litre and 5 litres.

This service is for scheduled collection of sharps containers from businesses. Note – pricing below does not include the provision of sharps containers. Waster can provide sharps containers when collecting full containers. Pricing for new container is the same as collection charge for full container. See below for further details. You can also purchase sharps containers from third party providers.

Pricing as quoted is exclusive of GST. Please select number of sharps containers you wish to have selected below. Price shown is per single sharps container i.e. per unit.

Pricing includes all mandatory EPA waste tracking fees (i.e. no additional fee).

An additional service fee per visit of $55.00+GST per site visit is added in cart.

Under environment protection legislation, sharps waste is defined as any waste collected from designated sharps waste containers used in the course of business, commercial or community service activities. This includes any waste resulting from the use of sharps for any of the following purposes

• human health care by health professionals or health care providers (either at health facilities or at home)
• medical research or work on cadavers
• veterinary care or veterinary research
• skin penetration or the injection of drugs or other substances for medical or non-medical reasons

‘Sharps’ means items that

• have sharp points or edges capable of cutting, piercing, or penetrating the skin (such as needles, syringes with needles or surgical instruments)
• are designed for the purpose of cutting, piercing or penetrating the skin
• have the potential to cause injury or infection

Sydney pricing

1.4 litre sharps container: $3.90+GST per unit

1.8 litre sharps container: $5.30+GST per unit

3.0 litre sharps container: $6.10+GST per unit

5.0 litre sharps container: $12.50+GST per unit
